NOUR TRICAN International Holding Relies on CIWI Know-How

ICT-Know-how from Ulm put to productive use in Morocco

The British group of investors NOUR TRICAN International Holding intends to establish the brand "AZIRIS" with a three-digit million USD investment on the Moroccan market. In Rabat, the capital of Morocco, Ulm's CIWI GmbH assisted the NOUR TRICAN Managers Sàrl, a 100-percent subsidiary of the holding, to realize this ambitious goal: CIWI did not only take over overall project management for the ICT infrastructure but also supplies the appropriate financial and project management system Fundtrac.

Using the label AZIRIS the aquisition strategy of NOUR TRICAN envisions to take over several firms in the agricultural sector in Morocco. "It is the primary target to produce products such as milk or cheese for consumers. Additionally, we are planning our own supermarket and even steak house chain", says CIWI managing director Folkert Wilken, overall project manager for the on-site ICT infrastructure. Initially, CIWI had to create a concept for a state-of-the-art server center at the representative headquarters of NOUR TRICAN Managers Sàrl in Rabat. The second step included the supply and installation of the necessary servers. NOUR TRICAN now disposes of a 2-Megabit fixed line that allows them to work on CIWI's servers via the Internet using ASP.

After the successful implementation of the ICT system NOUR TRICAN moreover decided to invest in the web-based finance and project management system Fundtrac. This software, developed by CIWI, is being used by the investors primarily to upgrade their financial accounting: „However, we also use its special project management functions. They are very useful to NOUR TRICAN, for instance for insuring accountability when working with state subsidies", says Bernd Schneider, representative of CIWI for the subsidiary project of financial and project management in Morocco.

The implementation of the various software packages is proceeding as planned: "We are currently training personnel and are soon expecting the formal acceptance of Fundtrac and InfoShare. Productive deployment of the systems is foreseen for 1 January 2008 – I am very optimistic that we will be able to meet this deadline."
